Pick & place robot

You can implement many different applications with robots. For example, in addition to positioning and quality tasks, it is also possible to efficiently automate the handling of products (pick & place). Our robot systems pick up components precisely and with consistent quality and set them down at the desired storage location.  The processes can be repeated exactly. Our various robot kinematics give you great flexibility in setting up your automation solution and allow quick, reliable performance of pick & place tasks. In plastics processing in particular, we offer end-of-line tests for your production line or pick & place solutions that can be integrated into your system. Automation processes can thus be automated in whole or in part.

Pick & place from the conveyor belt

The delta robot transfers small cans from a running conveyor belt into a designated box. A camera is used to determine the exact position of the cans on the conveyor belt.
  • Camera-based object detection
  • Objects can be variably positioned on the conveyor belt
  • Any end effectors can be used
  • Cost-effective end of line unit

Pick & place from the vibrating table

Automate simple and repetitive manual tasks inexpensively. A vibrating table separates the nuts. The kinematics consists of a delta robot. A vision system determines the coordinates of the nuts on the vibrating plate and transfers them to the control system.
  • Various surfaces manageable
  • Precise placement of the components
  • Reduction of manual operating effort
  • Cost-effective integration and rapid amortisation

Pick & place in final assembly

The assembly of energy chains is a complex process. The in-house engineering team at igus has made the process more efficient by automating sub-processes. Two articulated arm robots working in parallel join components synchronously.
  • Reduction of laborious manual processes
  • Continuous production possible
  • Constant production quality
  • Fast amortisation through cost-effective robots
