CFROBOT5 fibre optic cable

In this test, the life expectancy of the CFROBOT5.501 in a torsion application in the triflex R at a rotation angle of +/- 180°/m was to be analysed.
With a test result of over 27 million cycles, it was confirmed that the cable fulfils the high demands of a measurement application.

Using the CFROBOT5 in practice

The CFROBOT5 robot cable family's fibre optic cable is always immediately associated with a six-axis articulated robot because torsion is so important in that application. But the cable has other uses as well – customers very often have to transmit sensitive signals. Such signals come from actuators that are guided in free, unspecified movements, and torsion also plays a role there. Extremely precise measurements produce an incredible amount of data, which can be transported most reliably (and interference-free) with a FOC. The challenge is to cushion the sensitive glass-fibre element in the cable such that it cannot be damaged, while of course also doing so permanently.

Fibre optic cable CFLG.2LB

In this test, the life expectancy of the CFLG.2LB.62.5/125 was to be analysed in an e-chain with a 35mm radius. With a test result of over 50 million double strokes, it was confirmed that the CFLG.2LB.62.5/125 also provides good long-term data transmission in small installation spaces. 

Use of the CFLG in practice

An extremely compact chain system including a guide for easy installation. This is what door manufacturers, manufacturers of animation equipment for trade fairs and the mechanical engineering industry were looking for. We responded with our microflizz, which uses a FOC so that data can be transmitted in very small installation spaces. Our CFLG.LB. is a cable family that can reliably transmit data in small bend radii and on long travels. Thanks to its abrasion-resistant outer jacket made of TPE, it can do this very well in the long term.
