Test setup: CF9 control cable

This test assessed the expected service life of the CF9.15.18 in an e-chain with a 100mm radius.

The test assessed chainflex cable service life at extremely low temperatures. Systems in outdoor applications need cold-resistant cables. Low temperatures are just what affect the material – specifically, the outer jacket material. They occur at such locations as ports where cables are continuously exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Applications exposed to seawater, large temperature differences, and precipitation require cables that are robust, weatherproof, and UV-resistant.

The test in our climate container has shown under extreme conditions that the CF9.15.18 control cable can be expected to last for a long time at -40 degrees. This is just what customers expect: reliability even in cold environments.
