Among surfers, Brazil is a well-known destination. Endless sandy beaches, a variety of wave formations and bays. But Surf Evolution shows that you do not always need water for surfing. The Brazilian company is developing fitness training equipment that simulates surfboard movements.
The Surf Evolution designers found that metallic bearings were too expensive and maintenance-intensive in their novel surf machines. The first version still had metallic bearings. But it soon became apparent that component cost was too high and, even worse, maintaining the many bearing points was too time-consuming.
