In order to build new tracks for trains or trams, complex machinery is needed. Bearing points in track construction machines are exposed to considerable mechanical forces, vibrations, dust and weather influences. All these factors are no longer a problem if iglidur plain bearings are used. For high mechanical forces such as edge loads or shocks, there are specially developed iglidur materials that withstand static loads up to 200MPa and dynamic loads up to 140MPa.

Due to their dampening material properties, vibrations are not a problem. Due to their incorporated solid lubrication, the polymer plain bearings do not require additional lubrication. This makes them not only maintenance-free, but also robust regarding dust and dirt, which does not stick to the bearings. The plain bearings are ideal for achieving high cycle rates of track tamping machines.  
 

Energy supply systems and chainflex cables are also used in track construction machines. Due to their special design, they are very stable and durable. As a result, they also enable safe and reliable cable guidance and protection even in extremely harsh environments. Equipping the e-chains with the fail-safe chainflex cables increases the application's service life significantly. These cables have been developed especially for high loads, withstand extremely small bend radii and torsional movements and have a 36-month guarantee.
