Quiet adjustment
This device is used for physiotherapy treatment for back problems. The individual elements
must be able to be adjusted precisely to the individual size of the patient to make a linear
movement possible. Since this adjustment has to be made several times a day, the
mechanism should be smooth-running and quiet. The vertical adjustment of the head and
back support as well as the adjustment of the hand bracket were therefore implemented
using lubricant-free drylin® linear plain bearings from igus®. The reliable and quiet rotation of
the seat was made possible by an iglidur® PRT polymer slewing ring bearing.
