This chair can be used to sit older or weaker persons up again after a fall without a great deal of strength being necessary. Conventional ball bearings broke under the slow movement of the lifting mechanism and the high load. The chair has only been working reliably and problem-free since the conventional bearings were replaced by plastic plain bearing from igus®.
