Permanent sawing
This system turns tree trunks into handy pieces of firewood. For this purpose, the trunks are
stripped of their branches and feed into a sawing unit. Here, a chain saw cuts the trunk into
small blocks. The blocks are then fed to a wood splitter with splitting cross, which turns them
into firewood. A sturdy iglidur® PRT polymer slewing ring bearing is responsible for the saw’s
movement. This bearing is absolutely lubricant-free and can thus cope extremely well with the
humidity, dust and sawdust it is exposed to at its workplace.
