For the correct dimensioning of the drylin® T linear guide system, it must be determined whether the forces that take effect are within the permitted limits and whether this overloads the most strongly stressed gliding element.
Also, the calculation of the required driving power and the maximum permitted speed is important; various calculation formulas are applicable for this according to the arrangement of the guide.
Please note that there are no certainties in the following calculations with regard to impact loads and acceleration forces. The drive should always precisely take place in the x-direction, or else substantial additional loads and increased drive resistances (danger of blockades) occur (e.g. in crank drive).
