Pivoting mounting brackets are used in most applications. This means that a pivoting connection exists between the mounting bracket and the first chain link. This relieves the chain link when pronounced push forces are applied. But rigid mounting brackets are the better method in applications where the energy chain hangs in a U-shape or is upright. We were wondering what maximum bending torque can be exerted on rigid mounting brackets in such applications, so that these function reliably even when exposed to lateral acceleration. The results were impressive - see for yourself!
