Series P4 - endurance runner for long travels at high speeds

By now, the Series P4roller e-chain® has become a standard for many crane manufacturers. Increasing requirements with respect to speeds, additional loads, but also noise minimisation had necessitated the development of this energy chain series in 2007. In order to also emulate the application under real-world conditions, a 120 m long travel was installed in the exterior grounds of the igus® lab, where the energy chain was tested at 4 m/s and an additional load of 8 kg per meter for a total traveled distance of 25,000 km.
