Go to application

The students at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences automated the game "Make 'n' Brake" as a robot variant. This project was about a robot arm reproducing the tower built in front of it.
The igus articulated arm robot had to be combined with various components, e.g. a Beckhoff control system.

The problem

Due to the task, the robot arm had to have reasonable precision and, being a student project, could not afford huge sums of money. The entire system is an in-house development and therefore all the components used had to be brought together and coordinated with one another.

The solution

The StackBot from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences consists of an igus robolink RL-DC articulated arm robot and a gripper. The system is controlled by a Beckhoff control system. The substructure consists of aluminium construction profiles.
